Global
Adventures Missions Internships:
Global Adventures missions interns come down for the entire summer to help us host our
youth, adult, and medical short-term mission trips in Oaxaca, Mexico.
These trips usually include two days of training at our missions base followed
by five days of local outreach in our town of Tlaxiaco. The training days include
Bible studies, praise and worship, dramas, Spanish classes, cultural orientation,
and outreach preparation. Outreach involves programs and projects such as drilling wells with a hand apparatus, medical clinics, kids' programs that include health classes, English camps for kids, and water filtration. Our Global Adventures interns (that's you!) host a group for ten
days and then get a couple of days of rest before receiving the next group.
We need missions interns to
help out with the worship band, translate Spanish, perform
in skits, help coordinate outreach programs, minister one-on-one to trip participants, and act as "cultural guides". This is a great summer missionary internship
as it allows you to pour into the lives of North Americans, while also ministering
to the Oaxacan people as you gain experience in frontier missions among the unreached. A number of our previous summer interns are now missionaries in
different parts of the world or are currently preparing to go on the mission
field.
